About this Cosplay
Character: Alisha Diphda
Series: Tales of Zestiria
Media: Playstation 3 & 4 Video Game
Debut: February 15, 2019 at KatsuCon
WHY I COSPLAY THIS CHARACTER
Alisha is a character I've felt a strong connection to since her character debut before Tales of Zestiria's release. I admire her strength and nobility as well as her love and dedication to her people.
This outfit represents a personal milestone for me. I had to put it off on the back burner for a long time due to some of its more complicated pieces and finally completing it was liberating!
COSTUME CREATION DETAILS
Time Spent: Approximately 3 weeks
Wig: Lighting Pink from Arda Wigs
~ All pieces of this costume were handmade outside of the shorts that were modified.
~ Shorts were made shorter and thick thread was used to make the crossing pattern.
~ All armor pieces were constructed with craft foam and goggly eyes as fake rivets. The clear black structures were made using dyed clear worbla for the transparent effect.
~ Top pattern was constructed by heavily altering a commercial pattern. First attempt at creating it didn't go well, so it was remade with the first attempt being modified as needed and used as the new pattern.
~ Crosses and back design were all machine embroidered using an embroidery pattern bought on etsy.
~ Front piece of top uses a snap system to give the illusion that the green strings are keeping the pieces closed and together.
~ Black undershirt pattern was constructed from a commercial pattern altered to have the multi-points collar and a zipper down the center.
~ Arm pieces, collar, top white flap, garter belt system, and armor pieces were all self patterned.
~ Bias tape and heat-and-bond were used for detailing.
~ Wig zig-zag piece was constructed using wire, wefts, and tacky glue.
~ Spear was created from my prior DLC outfit Alisha build. Spear flag was remade longer and in a maroon color to better fit this outfit's palette.
